BLEMISHED Scales - Various Models - Limited Colors
Say hello to Old Penny—our new Type III hard coat anodized finish with a rich, vintage tone we might bring to future production. These scales are fully functional and made in the USA from 6061 aluminum, but they didn’t pass our visual standards.
You will also find some Shadow Chrome models and any other color that might come after the creation of this listing.
Blemishes vary and may include uneven chamfers, minor dipples from tapping too close to the opposite side, or other machining marks. None of these affect performance, and we'll include detailed photos to show what to expect.
BAILOUT MODELS – We wanted to try a different milling pattern, similar to our Archon pattern but using a different cutting tool. Unfortunately, it didn’t go quite as planned—but our loss is your gain!
We have provided detailed photos showing the blemishes so you know exactly what to expect. These scales are otherwise fully functional and in perfect working order, but the cosmetic milling imperfections are visible.
ADAMAS MODELS – When assembled, you may notice that some of the screw holes appear slightly off-center within the plunge cuts. The misalignment is minor and does not affect assembly, fit, or function. It is strictly a cosmetic blemish.
Standard Blemish Verbiage - Blemished items are sold as-is and will have cosmetic flaws (typically color-related), but unless there is a functional issue, they are not eligible for return. On almost every batch we have blemished parts. They may have small defects such as minor machining marks or dings, but most common are color variations in the anodizing that are too far out of spec. Color variation between the two sides will be present, along with hard lines, and other color and texture issues. Some color variation will be significant. One side could be light colored, while the other side could be very dark. They fit, function, and are just as tough as our regular grips but they cost a lot less! They are a good way to get a great product at a significantly reduced price.
