This initial run is being offered as prototypes to test fitment across the many production years of the Spyderco Delica. These have been extensively tested in-house and function great. Additionally, the Delica is known for slight movement in the open position (lock rock) and will most likely be present in our scales. This is not a defect and should be expected. BACKSPACER is not included, please reuse the original. 

⚠️ WARNING: Stock (M2.3) clip screws will not fit. Use the provided (2.56) screws with the AWT scales. Our scales use a 2-56 standard screw, not metric which comes stock on the Delica

The Spdyerco Delica scales are machined from 6061 aluminum here in the US. These linerless replacement scales feature our Aggressive Agent milling paired with signature AWT chamfers, creating a bold look with excellent grip while maintaining the Delica’s slim carry profile. At this time, the scales do not include a backspacer — you will need to reuse your original backspacer during installation.

Weight Information: the stock Delica weighs about 2.30 ounces, and with our scales installed the weight is only 2.56 ounces — a minimal increase for the added rigidity and upgraded feel.

Fit & function notes

• Because the Delica has had multiple production variations, slight fit differences between years are possible 
• Both our scales and some stock Delica configurations may show minor movement in the open position. This is normal and not a defect; the Delica’s design often allows small play when deployed.
• If your knife exhibits excessive play beyond a light, tactile movement, contact us and we’ll help troubleshoot.
• The stock Delica uses metric M2.3 screws, which will not work in our scales. Our Delica scales are machined for 2-56 standard screws (which are included).

Like everything else here at AWT, these grips are backed by our Lifetime Warranty. Here's the Warranty Nitty-Gritty - We guarantee our products to be free from manufacturing defects. This warranty does not include issues that arise due to improper installation including but not limited to over tightening pivot screws that damage the D-shape slot for pivots, stripped threads, broken off screws, etc. Screws do not need to be torqued down like you are tightening the head bolts on your 1970s American muscle car.

Type II Anodized Colors - Cobalt Blue, Weathered Red

You buy Type III hard coat for toughness not perfect color matching. If you want colors to be exact, please purchase Cerakote. Due to the nature of Type III Hardcoat anodizing there may be slight color variations from batch to batch or side to side. Sometimes there may also be some light mottling in the color, or the grain of the aluminum may show through the coating. This is normal and in NO way affects the performance or function of the grips whatsoever. We feel that it is a worthy tradeoff for a vastly superior coating hardness. The Type III coating we use is incredibly hard (harder than steel actually) and is the MOST durable coating available on the market.
