Blemished Mini Freek Grip Kit
***We have had a couple customers write in saying their blades seemed to be a bit long for our Mini Freek scales. After some investigating we found Benchmades blades to be at fault with some blades being .035” longer than others. In the machining world this is a massive discrepancy. That being said, our scales do fit about 70% of customer knives which is not good enough for us so we are selling the remaining stock at a drastically reduced price. Due to the nature of this situation and the hassle involved we will NOT accept returns on these, the price reflects this.***
These handsome grip kits will transform your knife into everything you'd expect from a hard working cutting tool. They are tough as nails, yet elegant and refined. Once you get your hand wrapped around a set, everything else will feel like a toy. These grips are machined to incredible standards from 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum followed by Mil-Spec Type-III hard coat anodizing. These grips are also much thinner than the original grips reducing the overall thickness of the knife from .575" with the factory scales, down to .500" with AWT scales. Give them a try, we guarantee you won't be disappointed. Each kit comes with 2 grip panels, 1 backspacer, and all necessary hardware (the pivot hardware and 2 of the liner screws are reused from your factory scales). Like everything else here at AWT, these grips are backed by our Lifetime Warranty. You break it and we replace it at no cost to you.
-Mini Freek factory scales weight: 0.8oz
-Mini Freek AWT scales with backspacer weight: 1.3oz
Due to the nature of Type III Hardcoat anodizing there may be slight color variations from batch to batch or side to side. Sometimes there may also be some light mottling in the color, or the grain of the aluminum may show through the coating. This is normal and in NO way affects the performance or function of the grips whatsoever. We feel that it is a worthy trade off for a vastly superior coating hardness. The Type III coating we use is incredible hard (harder than steel actually) and is the MOST durable coating available on the market.
